Light, Wire, and Art: Light Painting with Olaf Schieche at LÜLING

At the beginning of the year, our Iserlohn plant was illuminated in a truly unique way: Renowned light painting artist Olaf Schieche (better known as ZOLAQ on social media platforms) transformed our facility into a spectacular artistic stage. During the January maintenance period, he created fascinating light artworks, presenting our products—and especially our craftsmanship—from an entirely new perspective.

Wire Art Meets Light Art

In collaboration with our team, Olaf Schieche designed unique compositions that highlight the intersection of industry and art. Using specially developed light tools, he captured impressive images—from coils formed by trails of light to the path of wire through the drawing machine, all the way to “flowers” that symbolize our challenge for the coming years: making steel wire production climate-neutral. One of the most remarkable moments: Schieche “wrote” our slogan in light, creating a truly stunning highlight for our brand communication.

Art That Connects – A Project for Marketing, Social Media, and Industry

These light painting images are not just an artistic statement but also hold significant value for our marketing and communication efforts. They will be used across social media, campaigns, and presentations to showcase LÜLING from an entirely new perspective.

Fabian Schmidt, Managing Director, enthusiastically summarizes the project: “An absolutely fascinating technique and a fantastic artist. Olaf Schieche has staged our wire and parts of our production in an entirely new and artistic way.”

Olaf Schieche was equally impressed by the atmosphere in our facility: “An absolutely incredible setting – I love industrial scenes. And working with LÜLING was once again a very pleasant and constructive experience.” (Note: We have previously collaborated with Olaf Schieche a few years ago for light painting photography at our former facility in Altena-Nette.)
